Who is more important to focus on, a new investigator or a less-active member? This week Jordan and Zack are introduced to Christiaan Schmid by Scott The Giant (Ep. 6). Christiaan tells us of the adventures and miracles he witnessed in a "hardship mission", the Democratic Republic of Congo - Kinshasa mission. Christian retells experiences from eating porcupine soup, teaching a dear friend to read, to being amazed by the humility of the people in his mission. Although sticking out first intimidated him, Christiaan shares how his confidence and love grew as a missionary. He shares how faith-filled prayer helped him finally learn the language. Christaan concludes with his experience coming home, waiting for his girlfriend to return from her mission (and yes, they got married! She's Ep.21), and the importance of keeping a journal.
